The Ash & Wild Cask is a Celtic group performing traditional Irish and Scottish music alongside original songs, storytelling, and singalong-friendly sets. Their performances are very rooted in pub and festival culture — lively when it calls for it, intimate when it doesn’t. Instrumentation includes layered vocals, flute, piccolo, mandolin, acoustic guitar, bodhrán, shaker, and hand percussion.
In addition to a straight Celtic music set, they also offer an optional immersive format for festivals or themed events. It’s still a full 20–25 song Celtic set at its core, with about 30 minutes of light, character-driven theater woven between songs. The story is a musical comedy of errors where a wandering singer is mistaken for royalty, and the narrative unfolds organically between tunes. It stays flexible, music-forward, and easy to adapt to different performance settings.
